First off, no apologies, I stand by my corny joke.
Last week we started our Outer Space unit. This always tends to be well received, as we not only talk about space, but also robots and aliens. I don't think you can get more preschool friendly than that!
As your may have guessed, this unit tends to be heavy in STEAM, but as usual, all of our developments facets are embedded within our activities! Process art, sensory and loose parts play are all heavily featured, and we will have some wonderful books to read: If You Were the Moon by Laura Purdie Salas, Your Alien by Tammi Sauer, and Shine by Trace Balla. We will also do some kinaesthetic learning by making a kid-size solar system and explore light.
Please note that the preschool is closed today (February 6), as well as February 20th for Family Day.
